Privacy Notice

Afri Data Cost is designed so its public editorial pages can be read without creating a subscriber account. This notice describes information that may still be processed when the site is requested or when a visitor chooses to make contact.

Site requests

Hosting and security systems may process request data such as an IP address, timestamp, requested path, referrer, browser or device information, and error or security events. This information can be needed to deliver pages, detect abuse, diagnose failures, and protect the service.

Information you submit

If you use a contact or correction channel, the submitted message and contact details are processed to review and respond to that request. Do not submit mobile account passwords, PINs, one-time codes, payment details, or unnecessary identity documents.

Google Analytics and your choice

Google Analytics is used only after you choose Allow analytics. Until then, the Google tag is not loaded and Afri Data Cost does not ask Google to set analytics cookies or receive analytics events.

When allowed, Google Analytics receives a page view for the path visited together with ordinary browser and device information. Query strings are excluded, advertising storage and personalization remain disabled, and Afri Data Cost does not send names, contact details, mobile account information, PINs, passwords, one-time codes, or payment details.

Google Analytics may set cookies whose names begin with _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. User and event data associated with identifiers is set to a two-month retention period, without extending that period when a user returns; Google's aggregated standard reports may remain available for longer.

You can decline when first asked or use Privacy choices in the footer to withdraw consent later. Withdrawing consent stops analytics, removes those cookies where the browser permits, and reloads the page without the Google tag.

  • Purpose: understand which country guides and public pages are useful so the editorial service can be improved.
  • Provider: Google Analytics, operated by Google; Google applies its own privacy and international data-transfer terms to the service.
  • Choice storage: the first-party adc_analytics_consent_v1 value records only whether analytics was allowed or declined.

Changes and third parties

External regulator, operator, and Google services have their own privacy practices. If advertising, accounts, or new contact processors are added, this notice must be updated to identify the relevant purpose and choices before those features are relied upon.
